Abstract

|
As ceramides which were one of the epidermal lipids were known to be important for skin barrier function, most cosmetics companies had come to want to use ceramides as ingredients. Due to natural ceramides were not very cost competitive in cosmetics, a lot of studies on preparation of pseudo ceramide which had high productivity and almost equal physiological activity to natural ceramides had been carried out. As a result, a number of pseudo ceramides had emerged, and in this paper we introduced some of those pseudo ceramides and reviewed their preparation method.
